Wilhelm Maybach Was Born In Heilbronn, Germany In 1846 (4Th Child Of Five Sons). At The Age Of 10, Wilhelm Became An Orphan. Gustav Werner, An Active Philanthropist Answered A Newspaper Announcement And Brought Wilhelm To The Bruderhaus Orphanage In Reutlingen. It Is Here That He Began His Apprenticeship As A Technical Draftsman In The Section Of The Bruderhaus Which Was Producing Simple Machines (The So-Called ‘Maschinenfabrik’).

Gottlieb Daimler Was 31 Years Old When He Became A Technical Director At The Maschinenfabrik In Reutlingen, Where Wilhelm, Now A 19 Year-Old Draftsman, Had The Opportunity To Meet Him. This Meeting Was The Beginning Of 35 Years Of Shared Work, Partnership, And Loyalty Between These Two Icons Of Mobility’s Pioneering And Inventions. In 1872 Wilhelm Maybach (26) Follows Gottlieb Daimler (38) To Work For Nicholas A. Otto (40) At Deutz Gasmotoren Fabrik In Cologne (‘Köln’), Germany Where Wilhelm Initiated His Engineering Studies.

Gottlieb Daimler (47) Leaves Deutz And Wilhelm (35) Becomes His Technical Director In Cannstatt. A Garden House Of Daimler's Estate Is Being Used As A Makeshift Workshop For The New Projects. At This Point, Wilhelm Develops His Talent As Designer/ Constructor And Inventor Of High-Speed Combustion Engines.
